Another “hen’s teeth” item. Must be something out there that would do the job. Anyone used one off another bike with similar dimensions? Any links would be appreciated. Trying an eBay search throws up some, but no dimensions. Thanks all.  |

I've got one in my spares box. It's got the usual scuffs & marks with age & use, but no cracks. You can have it for the cost of postage. PM me your address if you want it  |

Had a look back my posts and you were the first reply to my first post Ian about which battery to get.
I've now got a battery box but I still haven't got a battery. 
I've just been using a spare car battery so haven't needed one yet. I've settled on this one when I do take the plunge.

I've just been using a spare car battery so haven't needed one yet. I've settled on this one when I do take the plunge.
Hmmmm....I was wondering how I ended up with a spare batter box. You'll find it can be a bit of a faff to get the battery on the bike when it's in it's box. I think this became even harder when I got a Motobatt for my 250NB, so I left it off. I stuck some black gaffer tape on the Motobatt to hide it's yellowness. I forgot all about the case when I sold the 250 - hence the 'spare'. I've got a Motobatt on my 400NA & the case is fitted to it, but the later SDs have a different case with a bolt up 'door' rather than the strap on the early bikes, so maybe the earlier ones have a bit more room. |

I like the motobatt battery for the optional terminal positions makes it quite useful. Had a look and my battery case is the door type, of course it goes without saying it doesn’t have the door.. I do have a rubber retaining strap that was thrown in with some petrol tank rubbers I got so I may just use that. I’ll see how it all looks when I’ve got everything together.  |

Still adding to my bits and pieces. I now have a battery cradle with a gate, £9 delivered from eBay, thought it was a bargain and an inner box (kindly supplied by Ian). And sticker intact Duffer. Just need a battery now.🙂   |
