My headlight is no longer working just the sidelight. If I push the button the main beam flashes but otherwise does not come on. The bulb is ok and I have inspected the wiring without success and wondered if there are any common causes for this issue? Everything else works fine. Thanks.

If the main beam comes on using the button but not using the switch, I would suspect the switch is faulty. Worth taking apart to check?

Is the dipped beam working? No the dipped headlight isn't working. I'll try and take the switch apart to see if it looks ok. The fuses seem to be alright and I can't find any obviously loose wires inside the headlight but there are a couple which don't have any wires going into them. |

first port of call is the fuse, they can break internally and look perfectly ok

The wires either side of the multi connector for the Fuse box are worthy of a continuity check, Symptoms are exactly the same as I had on my NC, and the problems were all in that area (middle fuse connections).

Thanks for the response. Not sure which multi connector you are referring to as there are quite a few. I have a multi meter but apart from testing voltage not sure how to check the continuity: how do I do it? Thanks, Paul. |
