Hey folks, as picture shows these clocks are pretty nasty. Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions to tidy these up.
Is the coloured piece glass or plastic, can it be removed? Looks pressed in. Can the colours be brought back?
Toughts on getting whatever paint it is off the plastic? Air filter housing and mudguard are covered in the same shit.
Any comments welcome thanks.

You can get the indicator panels out but at least one will break so I would leave them
I would try some “Back to Black” to polish the case with

Sometimes restoration needs to go out of the window and replace em. Probably got a set of covers much better than that. The problem with some of the magic sprays is that after 40 years you end up with a layer of "stuff".
I have resorted to cellulose thinner and a wooden scraper. Takes ages to get the worst off, then to get em shiny again, spray on more back to black !🤣
