Sorry, photos a bit late. As mentioned in a previous thread I managed to free the engine up using the oil pictured. Just down the two spark plug holes into the cylinder head. Left it for a week then it slowly started to turn via putting it into gear and turning the back wheel. had some great advice regarding the electrics as no life in them at all so tomorrow is the start of the connector cleaning, resoldering etc. At least I can do it sitting down. 😀

Will do thanks. Just in process of getting under my wife’s feet so she’ll get annoyed and send me to the garage. 😊

Well, I started to clean the wires, starting off the left hand side as advised. Due to my immaturity at waiting, I checked after almost every wire clean. Well slap my thigh if it didn’t work. All electrics spring into life. (Indicators don’t flash but are all on each side when I turn the switch. I take it a flasher relay should be all that’s needed?). so there I am, dancing with joy. Hook up my auxiliary fuel tank and turn it over. Five seconds later I’m surrounded by petrol and panicking that I’m going to set the bike on fire. 😳😳. I’ve traced it to fuel coming out of this brass thingy on the carburettor. Any advice appreciated. I’m happy to take the carbs out and clean them but before I do I want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong. Cheers guys.

float valves stuck, probably a gummed up mess if they've been stood a long time, you can try tapping the float bowls with something like a screwdriver handle but a good clean of the carbs would probably be better

Cheers will do. I’ll take them out and do a proper job on them.
