Anyone fitted a fuel filter to their SD?
I want to fit one in short term to my newly cleaned out tank to make sure any possible left over particles do get into carbs. The space is a bit tight between petcock and carbs to get one in easily. So any hints on how you fitted one and what type would be handy.

Found this type on ebay, with a meter of fuel line thrown in it was about six quid. Compact with a very fine filter screen which you easily view, it's worked well for me..  |

That's a neat set up. Thanks for that Willy. I'll look out for that, as the filter I have is a lot bigger.
I think you have a lot more space around where side panels normally fit.

Yep, I've fitted a few of those & they're easy to fit to SDs without getting in the way.

I replaced the larger filter that I had kicking about with the new smaller one shown fitted, seems good. Cheap on eBay  |
