I have two Honda's from the 60s that are in my possession some parts are hard to trace but I find them and at a reasonable cost. At the start of the year struggling to find some carb diaphragms for a vtr1000 none on the planet ending up buying a second hand set of carbs for them.today looking for a piston kit for a xl600 pd03 found one in the states no way I am going to pay that and he has no idea whe I say is it for a pd03 engine.will have another look now the boss is out.got a kh125 engine in bits wanted new piston one came kit was kh125 piston in the box now I have found out is for a 100.£35 down should have checked when it came in December. My 1948 matchless g80 enny think it wants I mean enny thing I can order now and will have by Saturday

well i ended going direct wossner pistons uk they have a pluss .05 and the guy knew what i wanted.just got to find a place thats stiil open to get the barrel rebored

Yep , just finding someone to do rebores is difficult now , let alone do a 2T crank rebuild , way of the world......

There's a place in Wednesfield that does re-bores and crank builds, PJ Motorcycle Engineers. I've not needed to use them nut a guy I was talking to at a local VJMC show/meet gave me their name.

new piston on its way as its a very large cylinder and piston to big for a guy i know boring bar he mainly works on scooters,the company that did a job for me it was before covid is still there but was there half day ,i did not think they were still a thing .

Well a very old engineering company is still in business and doing well .Will have the barrel back by this time next week £50 cash not a bad price to say they have no competition with the piston costing £170 .dear do all through not able to get a piston pin

february as been good another hard to get part for a reasonable cost found and came today.rear wheel hub for a honda cb77 3 years it took ,the classic racer boys like them it allowed them to fit twin leading brakes .there are plenty of these hubs for sale and they have been for a long time but are 4 times the amount i paid .i see items for sale some very hard to get but the cost just exceeds the finished item.  |

Just picked up the xbr barrel it is now 606cc .had a good talk to a guy about restoring shell bearings ,they can do this and they do it so long the shell is not damaged and you know the spec if you have one for pattern even better .they are a very old company so know there stuff doncaster based R.&E. arnett ltd tell 07843700393 ![]()  |
