Had a bit of an accident a few weeks ago - nothing to do with bikes, fell of a ladder & broke a few ribs. My bikes are too heavy for now, so I decided to get something a bit lighter. Not my cup of tea, but it was in good condition, with low miles & a good price, and a top box! It's a bit of a surprise, it's a learner 125 with 8 former keepers, and yet there's not a mark on it, no corrosion on any of the fasteners & only 5,000 miles on the clock. Gill rode it home just as the weather got cold, so I didn't get out on it 'till it warmed up a bit last week, but at least I'm back on the road again now (when it isn't raining )

The unbustable VanVan. The learners favourite, great bikes...they do a 200 as well. Enjoy. Gee.

I wouldn't think the tests are any different, but over here you don't have to go through hoops to get a license. You can get a provisional at 16, car & bike. On a bike, you have to do a CBT same as over there & your restricted to 125 regardless of age. Car or bike, you have to pass a theory test before taking a practical. Once you've passed the appropriate practical you get your full car or bike licence but are limited to 50mph max & have to display an 'R' plate for 12 months. That's the only restriction for bikes, none of that max hp till your a certain age stuff - pass your test & get a Fireblade or whatever on the way home, just make sure you display that 'R' plate
