I need to make a choice... headlamp rim is badly corroded and planning to get re-chromed. Everything else is OK on lamp. Have resprayed the back lamp body.
Here's the choice, I can get a pattern full replacement headlamp complete with bulbs, glass etc for about same price as re-chroming rim, what would you do?
I know the purists would say re-chrome and stick with the OEM part and I am leaning that way, but still unsure in pattern part would be better option. Looks good and pretty much identical.
Anyone bought these patterns before?

I bought about 7 of them Dave....they are well fine. Lighter than genuine ones but look just as good

I've got them on both my SDs and they're ok. Price & picture of those on ebay look pretty similar to what I got.

Eh no.....I would never pay that for a pattern one... I think I paid that for the 7 of them.. Cant remember where I bought them from...ebay....I will check back. Gee. |

I bought 4 for £24 delivered...the genuine one was £35.
Both unavailable on ebay at the mo from the seller.

I'm saying I can get a complete pattern headlight for £35. The housing, light fittings, glass lens complete. The re-Chroming of the rim is around £35. I decided to order it. I can always revert back to the original and get the rim chromed later if I wanted to. |
