Hi all, New member here. My uncle has gifted me his one owner from new 250 superdream which Im currently lightly restoring aiming to keep it as original as possible. I have a few questions if anyone can help.
(1) Firstly who is the best supplier of replacement graphics? My painter has warned me that some run when laquered over so looking for reccomendations if possible
(2) I want to get the fuel cap lock hasp rechromed but can't see a way to remove the lock barrel. Is this possible?
(3) Lastly the chrome fork top bolts are rusty and I want to get these rechromed. I gues I'll need to re cut the threads with a die once completed. Would anyone know the size of this thread so I could obtain the correct die.
Sorry for all the questions from the off. I promise to get some pics uploaded once its done. Thanks all

Hi Dizzy, welcome. I've fitted several Decal sets over the years & not had a problem with them when laquered over. The best source is a tricky one, some owners want absolute accuracy, others, like me, just want the bike to be look like a Superdream. Several people on here have said good things about Image Works, not used them myself. Of those I have used, the only one I can find on Ebay now is theclassicdecalcompany www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254947031514?hash=item3b5c06f9da:g:00gAAOSwypJgfF8-By fuel cap hasp, I assume you mean the hinged thing that locks down over the casp? If so, it's alloy not chrome and should have a typical alloy satin finish, but could be polished up. I'll see if I can find an old fork cap bolt & measure the thread, but a few of us have fitted stainless versions from Phil Denton Engineering, but you'd have to ring & see if he still does them. Some info & pictures on this thread honda-superdream.co.uk/thread/10778/stainless-top-fork-bolts

I have used Image Works. Reasonable price and look ok.Used on my current 400 photo enclosed. I only wish for the bike to look good so may not be a perfect reproduction

There are stainless steel fork top bolts on eBay if your feeling flush, £63.95. not sure of the cost of re-chrome.

And if you remove the 2 screws holding the rubber and plate on you can use a small screw driver to push in the tab on the lock barrel and push it out.

Thank you for the replies all. Lot's of good advice there for me. Ive managed to measure the fork caps thread. They are m27 x 1.0mm. Ive got a few bits going off to be rechromed so will put them in the pile and see how they come out. If not its good to know there are replacements available. The graphics in the pic look good to me so will check out the companies mentioned. Will also ensure "NOT" to rechrome my alloy fuel cap 😅 (in my defence its bubbled up / reacted to something so doesn't look like alloy anymore) but good to know finally how to get the lock out. Thanks all
