I am in the process of buying two Dream/Hawk frames, one a UK spec one a 250 Dream and one a Hawk 400.
The Hawk is for myself and the 250 for my buddy Gordon who helped me with the lounge build on mine.
Now then, here is the cunning plan.
We are going to build both at the same time, next to each other in my shed and film it.
I had thought of a live feed but will stick to editing it after a recording, much better I think, more control.
I reckon I have enough NOS and reconditioned parts for the 3 bikes as I still have my other Dream 400 in bits ( see Duffers post about BeeGee's tank as that is the tank)
I hope it works, I think it will be a fun build.

Here is a little update on the progress of the frames.
Good new from Honda UK (took 4-5 weeks), both frames have date certificates.
I have contacted the seller to pallet them and I will arrange a collection from Wales.
We were hoping to have them before x-mas but no rush, cant start without heating in the shed.
Gee.

Hi Dave, yes not been on much recently, my job is taking care of that, 12-13 hours shifts 5 nights a week, Glasgow to Manchester Airport fighting my way through road closures in an artic with a decker trailer...not my idea of fun. But back to the Q, yes still planning it all Dave. Waiting on Honda Europe getting back to me wit Date of Reg cert that I need for the dvla for a new logbook...waiting on 3 of them. Seemingly Honda Japan are short staffed. But looking at getting 3 frames painted, prefer paint to Powder coating having build from scratch a bike up....it chips way too easily. The forum will be the first to know when its all starting. Cheers Gee. |
