Does seem cheap for a bike of that era, but not my cup of tea, nothing pre 1960 for me

As a fan of the pre-unit layout, for the aesthetics and also the ease working on them, ( baring having to remove the clutch to change the front sprocket). I would set the timeline as nothing pre 55 with good spares availability being a major consideration.

Never had a pre-unit, expected them to be harder to work on. Don't know why I'm worrying about a timeline though, sold my last Brit bike (a 3TA) 20 years ago & too old now to cope with swapping between left & right foot for brakes & gears & kickstart only
