Painted tanks

Great paint jobs. I'm new to the Superdream world so can I ask what is the exact colour (and code, if you have it) of the top blue tank? Thanks

A simple question, not so simple answer. The colour is Tanzanite blue. The original paint system was to spray a silver base coat over your fully primed and prepared tank (or plastic panels). Then apply the blue base coat, then apply clear gloss laquer. The code is listed on here somewhere, but the only company I found to supply it was RS paints. It worked fine on the jobs I took to bare metal,  but it wanted to react with old paint on other jobs. It was also eye wateringly expensive. 
Plan B. I took a successful example of paintwork to my local paint supplier and asked for an alternative.  And this was a brilliant match.  It is again a 3 part system,  but doesn't cause a reaction that I have found,  and is much  cheaper.  Base coat blue first,  then a clear-ish coat of laquer which contains some blue and metallic particles.  If you want to add more depth (and I do) a final coat of clear gloss laquer.  
Then add decals,  then a couple more coats of laquer. 

Duffer, brilliant reply, very much appreciated. Excellent photos and I look forward to, hopefully, achieving a similar result. I have a good paint supply place here on the Isle of Wight so should be able to obtain the colour. Thanks.
