After purchasing my very first superdream it looks as though I will need quite a few new bits (not too bothered if they are pattern parts as long as the look original)
Just by taking a very quick look over the bike I can see it will need
Seat base and cover
Mirrors , (stalk and mirrors)
indicators
side panels and clips
Exhausts
Tank and panel decals
Brake fluid reservoir
Levers
Gear lever
Etc Etc

Lots available on EBAY. Go shop... If you want advice about correctness and anything else SD related then you are in the right place.

Everything you listed can be found, seat bases are rare as an original item though. We will all help out where we can mate.

engine, check balance system adjustment under the slotted plug in the clutch cover.........shine torch as just see the chain.....if flywhell is rotated slightly back and forth you will see chain "drooooowp or slack" and try and see the dot on the end of the balance shaft, the 14mm nut..........any slot left in adjusting adjustable quadrant?? it rotates anticlockwise to tighten the chain. if clutch cover is coming off to adjust the adjustable quadrant for some more "slot" then flush sump. remove clutch basket and clean as it acts like a centrifugal crap trap.......blast engine and clutch cover before removal else crap trapped behind the oil pressure sw "cover" drops onto the primary drive gear..........etc.......
see cmsnl....you have a manual..........if you need help etc just ask.

feel free to browse photobucket and see before and after clutch basket and "dot" or punch mark.....also how is cam chain and any cam timing marks "lag" when flywheel set to "T".......also does ignition system "advance" ( another sd favorite ) you need timing strobe to see this..........I presume engine is a runner and not been stood ( stuck valves, if stuck ( or even turned over!! ) and engine run then disaster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) for ages.......

Cheers for the advice and the link to the seat I have bought the bike not seeing or hearing it run , but i am assured it does run (by the seller) I will do the checks as mentioned , It does kick over so its not seized , I am awaiting on a battery before I can start it so I will go from there If it is a non runner I will be gutted bit if so are parts easily available for a rebuild and are rebuilds expensive? I am giving it a full nut and bolt resto, as this will be the first bike Ive ever done it will be a learning curve for me so all advice is greatly appreciated
