When I resurrected my CM250 it had not been run for over twenty years, and the rev counter lagged behind what the engine was actually revving to by about a second or so. Now after a couple of hundred miles it seems to have recovered its enthusiasm and is just about back to normal.
Hopefully a bit of exercise may restore yours back to full health likewise..

Hello as the tac needle decided to part company last year i kept a look out for a replacement set of clocks. Got some we're advertised as parts only ,they worked fine the tac was slow but after a days run was fine then the speedo started screaming there was a smell of wd40 on the unit so lubricated the bottom bush with oil .I use sewing machine oil for items like this then last friday on the way back from a bike night the tac started ,why i did not do both i do not know but they are done now.do not spray them with wd40 or similar they are solvents they will wash away what lubricants that are there they are just a quick fix

Hi I had an issue with my Speedo not showing.
The Bike had been stood for a long while and when I got it MOT worthy (didn't check speedo) took it to the MOT station for its MOT. Then as I rode it I thought bugger, Speedo needs sorting as its not showing. Phoned the MOT station and they said don't check speedos bring it along, so I rode it Gingerly along and then it all burst into life and been ok ever since. Agree with lubricating it with clock oil though.
