I have just seen an advert for a superdream for sale at £2100 & the seller says he paid £350 to have the decals fitted and tank painted. I'd have insisted on a refund or job done again myself.

I have seen worse, there was a blue one for sale last year, similar to the way these were done but even more squint, both sides didn't even match up. Tail piece decal was at the seat end.
I often wonder about the integrity of these sellers or the stupidity of them.
Gee.

Not the first I've seen put on backwards, you'd think they would've looked at a few pictures to get a rough idea of the position & noticed which way they go

Also seen the seat cover fitted back to front twice, and both bikes went on to sell for silly money?

That was one of them mate. Went for about £2300. I sold a candy red one, totally done with new paint and correctly fitted seat cover a week or two later for just over £2000. The world is full of muppets.

Also seen the seat cover fitted back to front twice, and both bikes went on to sell for silly money? Errm, I have to admit, been there, done that . In my defence, it wasn't out of ignorance, it was a last resort to get the thing to fit. The cover came with a box of bits I got with my first SD, the 400NA,don't know where it came from. I never used it on that bike, the seat pan was badly rusted, the cover ripped & the foam waterlogged. I used the bike for work & was fed up with a wet bum so I got a pattern seat from Silvers. Many years later, I got the 400N as a rebuild. The seat cover was a bit torn, but the pan & foam were fine, so I thought I'd fit the new cover I'd had lying around for years. Spent ages trying to get it to fit - the only way it would fit well was backwards. One day I'll replace it, but it's weather proof & comfortable, so I'm not in a rush I have got rid of the pizza delivery top box though
