I got a nail in the tyre of my CB500 a couple of years ago. Discovered it at home, so I could have just taken the wheel off & taken it in for repair, but I'd just got a similar tool to yours so I gave it a try and it was fairly easy. Went for a bit of a ride & it stayed up ok, so I felt a bit more confident if I ever had to do it out on a ride. I still took the wheel off & took it in though, they charge an extra 15 quid on top of the tyre price to remove & refit a wheel! Only trouble is, the CB500 has gone & all my bikes are tubed now, so I guess I'll have to practice changing a tube

They do work and handy to have, very handy, especially if you don't get a phone signal.
Gee.
