Hi Steve, welcome along. A lot depends on how you get on getting it running, but if it runs ok I'm sure you could get that tidied up for not a lot of money. None of my bikes has been near a powder coater, you can get a decent finish with rattle cans. A few members rebuilds on the forum have cleaned the frame etc up fairly well with plenty of wire brushing, although I got my frames, swing arms & stands shot blasted for about £50 a bike. OK, rattle can paints aren't as hard wearing & bits that move & rub like footpeg mounts & the rear wheel slots on the swing arm need touching up regularly. Chrome bits like that gear change rod & lever could also just be painted up. You could get it running & tidied up & use it for a while then do a fancier rebuild later. My 400NA has had 3 'rebuilds' over the last 15 years

As the first job was a Carburettor overhaul I ordered a couple of rebuild kits & Haynes manual. I also looked up instructions online. I has not helped as now I have contradictions in the names of some of the parts. Main jet, secondary jet or primary main, secondary main, air adjuster,Fuel adjuster or pilot adjuster. All depending on what you read !! Is there a definitive easily understood diagram or instructions on this forum anywhere ?

Welcome to the forum.
Deep pockets are needed for a full resto, then there is getting the parts needed.
You would be cheaper buying a mint one with all the bits, there have been some bikes that are very presentable not selling for £1800 or there about.
If you are just going to do it up I would suggest that would be the best way, get it looking good, then add bits as you come across them.
That's what I am doing with my wife's bike that she has had for 10 years now.
Good luck with it.
Gee.
