Stumbled across this on Youtube. It defines the quality of bike manufactures, buy the amount of debris found in the oil at the first oil change. It will give members who own modern Enfield's plenty of justification to feel smug about their purchase's www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GAUo8eUXeU&t=324s&ab_channel=FortNine

That was interesting but tells you nothing it doesn't tell you how well the filter system works or on the second service does it go up down or stays the same. Nobody builds bad motorcycles today even the Chinese make value for money bikes now and my dina is 60 miles of 76000 10 sets of tyres 3 sets front disc pads one set of clutch plates and a full service every year not bad to say its trying to destroy its self. The trouble with facts people cherry pick

Interesting, the consumer reports review of motorcycle reliability (yes its American, but got to think it would be similar here) based on reliability gives the following (based on percentage of vehicles that needed remediation work under warranty)
1.Yamaha 11% 2.Honda 12% 3.Suzuki 12% 4.Kawasaki 15% 5.Victory 17% 6.Harley Davison 26% 7.Triumph 29% 8.Ducati 33% 9.BMW 40% 10.Can Am 42% 11.Benelli 12.Aprilia 13.Motor Guzzi 14.Royal Enfield
I am sure there are many other ways to calculate it!
I watched it all, of course its a tiny sample size and heavily dependant of each bike/rider, but its interesting (love the phrase "Italian bikes are here for a good time, not a long time"

I have lots of bikes that menny I cannot give you a number but only 3 from new and smashed them all up before they needed warranty work so stopped buying new and it's been a lot better for my health and pocket
