Hello everyone - new member to this forum, i have 1981 250 Deluxe which my friend took in part exchange for car bits. Been running it since April and loving it - although could do with some acceleration beyond 60mph when overtaking lorries on A roads around where i live. Worked it out the other day - passed my bike test a couple of years before this bike was made - kinda makes me feel old So far had rear brake shoe disintegrate recently (4800 miles on clock - prolly original shoes) and earlier tonight had a puncture when out and about on rear tyre. Got a disgruntled wife to come out in car and ran to garage to get some tyre weld but only held long enough to get to next village so parked up there, went and got tools and brought rear wheel home in the car.

Hi BB, welcome to the forum, nice bike. I have a feeling your new name is BB...sounds cool. Gee I used to work with a bloke called BB it stood for Barbel boy as he was a keen fisherman and had a Barbel tattooed on his arm ,he was a plump fellow who liked his meals and he thought BB was a really cool nickname till someone suggested that it stood for Big Breakfasts
