Ian , regarding handlebars , I'd noticed this Conti up for sale , it look as if the standard "clip ons" have been moved to above the top yoke which raises them a fair bit ?

Other than the colour, that looks the same as the one I sat on at the dealers, handlebars clamps are bolted to the forks & curve up above the top yoke where the bars are bolted on. Can't remember if that was the same on the 2018 models, but I don't think they were as low as the 535. A couple of new plans are evolving, just trying to decide...........

I do prefer the decal on the tank of the continental, I’m not a fan of the badge on the interceptor tank, looks cheap imo.

Yep , don't seem as low as on the 535 but the blue one has the bars mounted above the top yoke not below it as standard like this one :

Hadn't noticed that Ian. The front is effectively lowered a bit doing that, but the bars are raised the thickness of the top yoke, which is about 2cm & every little counts, especially now, as you'll see! I went back to the dealer today with my SD/Interceptor measurements to compare with the Continental & this new arrival was on the forecourt. I assumed it was a new model he'd just got in Back in the showroom I sat on the new white one I was interested in & took some measurements, but I didn't think it would be a replacement for the Interceptor, that's the most comfortable of all my bikes once I'm riding, and the handlebars are perfect for my knackered arms. The Conti would be great for shorter local rides, but I couldn't justify the cost. Then Paul, the dealer, said the silver one wasn't new, it was a trade-in he'd just taken in & why didn't I take it for a ride? So, of I went.... ....and I ended up buying it . It was great fun, much comfier than the 535 & in a different league for smoothness for not a lot more money. It'll be great for rides around the island & even more comfortable once I raise the bars like your example, plus I can keep the Interceptor for going away (if we ever get away again ).

Not sure how many more road tests you can afford this year ! That's very true Ian - couldn't resist sitting on this though Very nice, but I managed to resist the temptation of a test ride They're aftermarket silencers Carl, AEW? They're non-magnetic, so I guess alloy, or brushed stainless ? Apparently they are a lot lighter than the originals, which I got with the bike, along with the dual seat. I've put that on to see which is the more comfortable, but not tried it yet
