Great photos.
What a rider Hailwood was especially at the IOM. I remember the days of watching him race at Oulton and Mallory Park along side some of the other all time greats.

Might have crossed paths at Oulton Park, it wasn't far for me back in the late 60s & early 70s, went there on my Tiger Cub in the late 60s & Ariel Leader in the 70s to watch the bikes

Great photos Ian thanks for sharing, Iām liking Gills naked 400 š It was great to ride Carl, geared more like the 250 SD than the 400 with the red line at 12,000 rpm & it loved to rev. When I'd looked at pictures of them I wasn't keen on the looks, but I changed my mind when we went to look at it & I saw it parked on the drive - looks much nicer in the metal
