Yes, they're expensive, that's why I've hung on to the slabby. I was lucky, only bought one new from Silvers, got the other 2 at a decent price from a couple of Superdreamers who just had to have nos originals . The CX mudguard also has a different part number to the SD, I think the middle 3 model code letters are 415 instead of 413, but there's not much difference, maybe not much difference for the CM version either?

Wow... that's quite different from the one's I have. Both my 1980, 400 and my 81, 250 CM's have mudguards that look identical to the one fitted to crouchyuk's blue SD. Yours has a flatter and deeper side profile with a returned edge, I know my 250 mudguard is original to the bike as I got from it's first owner, and that's exactly the same as the one fitted to my 400. They both match the attached picture from the original owner's manual.
