Hi My name is Nigel, I am 62 and am an industrial electrician. I had bikes in the 70s. I was looking for a project to restore and have just acquired a 1982 Honda Superdream 250N, hopefully, I have uploaded an image of the bike. She is a runner, but a bit tatty. I dont want a concourse restoration, just to get it serviceable and tidy and ride it around in my retirement. After a good clean up, I have noticed that the rear swing arm has a rust hole in it, the seat base has a several rust holes in it and the metal section of the rear mudguard is as rusty as a horse shoe. The right hand side panel is missing and the headlight mounting brackets are missing. Apart from that she is complete. I've had a look around on the internet and it seems that the bits I have missing or are rusty, are the hard bits to find ! Can anyone point me to the best place to get a few parts please?

Hi Thank you for welcoming me to the Forum. I just purchased a nice pair of riders footrests from a private seller on ebay, only 10 miles away, will collect them tomorrow, he may have other items. I found super dream parts on ebay, there is certainly a lot of stuff listed there, and purchased a decent solid steel rear mudguard section from him. So, made a start, will keep you posted on progress.

Hi Nigel welcome along. I recently got one of these for my 250NB, decent quality & value www.ebay.co.uk/c/23019482208 Silvers do a pattern seat, but they're expensive. I got one for my 400NA many years ago, the price wasn't too bad back then, but there's been a few threads on here repairing pretty rusty pans since, so it might be worth having a look at those before you give up on yours.

Hi Nigel and welcome I'm in the process of renovating my Superdream also back permitting LOL.
You just have to keep looking on EBay as bits pop up on a fairly regular basis and as already stated the famous David Silver and Superdream parts on eBay is a good source.

The metal rear mudguard section arrived today from Super Dream Parts on Ebay, very pleased with it, good solid useable part, will clean it up and paint it with Hammerite Smoothrite Black at the weekend - restoration started. Excellent packaging and quick delivery, will definitely use again.
