So the restos going well, everything’s looking fresh and shiny. Front wheel looks great......but then there’s the discs, that look scored, rusty and past their best. If they were on my car they'd go straight in the scrap pile, but Superdream discs are not available and aftermarket are ludicrously expensive. I realise I ca clean these up a bit, and touch up the black paint, but..... Are these worth saving, they look knackered to me ? Anyone got any brainwaves of how to make them look respectable? What’s everyone else using for replacements? cheers

depends on their thickness, you could get them skimmed if enough metal on them.

Great, thanks. I'm almost sure I’ve got no meat to skim off. I’m probably at about the limit already, but I’ll check tomorrow. What are my options for replacement Steve ? Thanks

I’ve done the deed, bit the bullet and bought some new ones from Silvers. You only live once and it is Christmas. I’ve rebuilt the master cylinder, got new hoses, rebuilt the calipers, now I’ve got new discs and pads, so the whole system is new. Knowing I’m going to stop as well as is achievable has its value. Thanks for the help and advice Steve. It’s appreciated mate.
