I remember reading a while back that the Honda CB250K series from 1970 to 1974 had 30hp, then from 75 to 1977 had 27hp, but more torque. When the CB250T came out it had 26hp, then the 250N back to 27hp, I wonder why. Has anyone on here rode one? Or have one?

G5, slug like the N, but the 360? was better just like the 400N was/is, but the 2T twins of the time where much better. Getting better with this sphone as well but some way to go yet😊

Was my first jap bike back in '78. May have been a slug, but it replaced my Ariel Leader & I loved it - mirrors, indicators, brakes that worked, what's not to like? Well nowhere to put my butties 😉

honda came out in 1961 with the groundbreaking cb72 and the the giant killing cb77 and even now are still competitive classic race bikes and both i am sorry to say would out perform the superdreams.then the K models came out and they were an improvement on the cb72, 77and still very competitive race bikes and the 350 even today gets round the TT in the 90's.but the k model was in compertition with the two strokes .my opinion honda did not want to get into a arms race and came out with the G model,i like the model but the 250 was a big disappointment less power more weight not a good mix but it just was a stop gap till the 250 and 400 dreams came out actually i like the dreams but more weight less power even the 400 was a disappointment and honda knew they had got it wrong.the euro style and honda doing what honda are good at increasing power but they were still heavy but they got the market they wanted and became the best selling 250 till the law said no.so did honda get better no in the early 80s the 250 was just a stepping stone till you past your test in a car or bike and honda were after the money in the bigger output bikes and the commuter bikes were honda was king.i have ridden all of them and a well sorted 60 year old cb72 would outperform even the new cbr250r
