Guys, basic question.. but it is not crystal clear in the workshop manual.. the washer that goes on the speedo side of the spinal ( cb250n ) ,whixh side of the fork does it go? Next to the castle nut or next to the speedo itself?

The washer (15) fits in the outboard recess in the alloy fork bottom, next to the castle nut. the whole set-up is tightened up to the left fork bottom, then clamped on the right.

Thanks for the diagram, still not sure what side the washer goes.. I am assuming it goes on the castle side of the fork.. but it could also be used as a spacer for the speedo.

Not a spacer, it stops your castle nut grinding when tightening, and spreads the spindle load on your fork bottom outer face.
