I picked up "UMJ" whilst I have been absent- actually way back in August 2018. It popped up on Ebay and showed all the signs of a genuine bike- so much so that I bought it unseen and drove across to West Yorkshire the next day to pick it up. Funny that as I was meant to be in no buy mode..... CB250NA in Blue. She's a beauty and totally original, with all the usual small signs of not having been messed with that an anorak like me looks for. It had been in storage for a few years, but history shows it was last on the road back in 2013/14, stored before that with some tax discs from 90-92. Mileage all matches, so at 11k just a baby. First registered in March 1981 on a "W", so one of the later NA's, it still has the original numberplate marked up with "Ken Green Motorcycles" of Welwyn Garden City. My only demands off the seller was that it had the original engine- it has at 9 past the frame number, and the balancer chain condition should match the mileage before I handed over the cash- and it does nicely. The usual situation we find with the adjuster quadrant stopped out because both the owners and Honda mechanics were too lazy to take off the clutch cover and reposition. I like them like this as the dot usually shows loads of adjustment left- no big engine strip down...... The frame and cycle parts have been Waxoyled to death in the old school way- but it's left no rust at all. I wanted a 250 to try out some parts, so its become a bit of a test bed of bits at times, but always returns to original. At some point I think it will be passed on to someone as a very nice gentle project, as of course I went and bought yet another later....

That's a nice one Paul -will be a dilemma for someone, strip & restore or keep original with patina? Last picture brings back memories, never used it on a bike But lay under a few cars slapping it on
