a few weeks ago I was having a bit of a dig in the garage and decided to do something with the old 250 engine I bought, largely because it was in the way. so I hatched a plan, I was going to strip it for parts for the cafe racer (gearbox and kickstart shaft) and any usable bits I'd flog on ebay. problem is its really low mileage, I mean virtually no wear. sadly during the strip down (it was well seized) I broke the bridge piece that clamps the crank (I know, ham fisted git I am, but shifting that bloody mag wheel bolt was unbelievably hard) so it seemed plan a was inevitable. then I spotted this on ebay, listed as a 250 upper crankcase and gears so I emailed the seller and asked him if he had the bridge piece, oh yes he replies I'll include that but forgot to put in in the pics, so I bunged a £25 bid in and bought it. it also turned up with a kickstart shaft that appears to have all the gubbins on it, bonus. now heres the spawny bit, the crankcase and matching bridge are marked CCC for the shell codes, the same as the original. I'm now off to crack open a beer and buy a lottery ticket...
