My mate had a border collie who loved riding pillion she would jump on the rear seat of his AJS stick a paw on each shoulder and away they went ,she was a bit of a rebel though as she would'nt wear a helmet . Sadly both Penny and my mate have both been gone for around twenty years now cancer took them both

Best motorcycle book I've read was 'A ride in the Sun - Gasoline Gypsy' by a young lady who rode 14,000 miles down the American continent on her BSA Bantam, with Matelot, her Airedale perched behind her in a wicker basket! This was in the early 50s, and her biking gear was a skirt, blouse & sun hat on the hotter climes & an overcoat for the snowy bits - a great read!
