I remember when I was building the top half how long it took me to refit the pistons and indeed I managed to break a new piston ring and I lost a bit of it in the bottom of the engine. Got it out eventually by leaving the engine upside down for a few days. |

It was exhausting just to rebuild the carbs. All these little things...

If only it was that simple, no seized bolts or rounded head, no stuck dowel pins. Would be interested to know how long it actually took to strip, I can do an engine in two days if I have everything I need to rebuild, and was the head tightening sequence correct?
