Hi guys, had a look for an answer, all seem to be out of date regarding links. I plan on doing up the engines on two of my 400's, the 400T Dream and the 400na/nb bitsa bike with a fabulous engine but smokey on one bank. The Dream will be a strip down and i was wondering about gasket sets. They range in price drastically from under £30 to well near £100. Has anyone have experience of the cheaper ones, i would imagine some need a bit of jiggery pokery to fit but for the saving i dont mind. Cheers. Gee.

I'v just used one of these from silvers the fit on them is fine, perhaps not quite as good as genuine but a heck of a lot cheaper. the only thing to watch is the base gasket is a bit flimsy, I tacked mine to the barrels with masking tape when fitting the barrels onto the pistons. I havent run the superdream engine yet but I'v used the same brand in the xbr without problems.

I've only ever user OEM gaskets when I can't get a pattern one, I've never had any trouble and quite often you get few "extras" because the kit will cover several model revisions, so don't be to surprised if you get an extra seal or O'Ring or two
