I've just bought myself a 1983 250n SD Deluxe. Less than 4k miles from new. This bike (not this actual one) was the first "big" bike I ever rode, at the age of 17. Always promised myself another one and now, at the tender age of 53, I'm looking forward to restoring her as best I can and reliving my younger days.
Any advice or help from experienced members who have a similar story to tell and are happy to share their restoration tips would be most welcome.

Doesn't look like it needs much restoring but for what it does need there's some very knowledgeable, helpful friendly people on here to help you out!

Thanks for the positive comments. Pics probably flatter the condition a little - tank/panels really need respraying and frame/swingarm could do with sandblasting and powder coating - but mechanically seems pretty sound. Mileage and provenance were the main consideration.
