Hello to Everyone, Brief introduction.... My names Joff and having turned 40 this year and recently completed CBT (and hopefully in due course my DAS) I finally threw caution to the wind and purchased a 1979 Blue CB250N SD "project bike" which lets say is in need of some serious TLC! Positives points ... its complete, all original and has only done 5k miles with one previous owner from new! Negatives ... its been sat gathering dust (not to forget a little rust) in the back of the previous owners garage for the last 20 years...eeek!! Hoping with the help of this great forum filled with you knowledgeable folk I can overcome the gaping holes in my knowledge, the issues and the struggles I undoubtedly will encounter along the way to restoring the SD to its former glory! Cheers Joff

Welcome Joff
Did you get a box of bits with it, Mudguard etc
I have to say the paint looks pretty good or is that photography flattering it

Hi Joff,
Welcome along. Nice straight bike, could only be better if it were silver.
Brilliant first post.....looking forward to seeing more of it.

Welcome Joff
Some really good guys on here - and you don't need to know what they don't know about SD's

Hi and welcome, thanks for the photos I must say you have chosen very well best colour and best year 👌 I think so too. I mean "Candy tanzanight blue" is the one on the Haynes Manual so it must be true

Welcome Joff Did you get a box of bits with it, Mudguard etc I have to say the paint looks pretty good or is that photography flattering it Yes BritPete I did indeed get a bag of bits, front mudguard etc.... and the chrome work like the paintwork is in rather decent nick considering the years!
