Remember this photo I posted from our bike trip to Wales for Llanbikefest last month? Well we're back in Wales on the bikes again this week, and it was my turn to sit on one, but I wangled a full test ride Apparently, this colour scheme is the Baker's Express, naff name but the bike was ace!

Is that a R.E, Ian?
If so, what did it ride like and what are the credentials....i.e is it a twin, where is it built etc etc?

Hi Ian, lets have a review of the interceptor, I have only heard good so far (no pressure) for me it would have to be Glitter and Dust or Orange Crush (colour schemes)

Yep, orange crush. I'm on the Baker's Express in the photo & the dealer had one in red & black - can't remember what that's called. I like all the colours, but I'd be struggling between orange crush & Baker's Express. Yes Fungo, it's an Enfield, a 650 twin Intruder. There's a cafe racer version, the Continental GT. I guess it's a poor man's Triumph. They cost about £5,500 which wouldn't get you a second hand Street Twin. You can get a Bonnie, but it would be a few years old. I haven't ridden a Triumph, so I can't compare them, but to me the Enfield stands on it's own merits. I really enjoyed it, it handled well, was comfy & was faster than I expected. No frills, rider modes and the such, but it has abs of course as it's a legal requirement. All the reviews I've seen in the mags seem to rate them and they're on 2 or 3 months delivery, so looks like they're selling well. Enfield bought Harris in the UK a couple of years ago so much of the design was done here, but they're built in India. Would I have one? You beg!

Would be the Red and black for me.Fantastic value, seen quite a few out and about and likewise heard only good/positive things about them.Believe they’re selling them at such a low amount to get more sold
