Well folks - I got to see my new SD today - seems it's this one ...... www.bonhams.com/auctions/16255/lot/406/This advert is from 2008 - the bike has become high mileage since then - it's on 639 miles now Anybody know anything about it - other than the write up in the above of course. Corrosion is nowhere near as bad as I thought - few scratches on it but nothing major - obviously very original and not messed about other than the 'silver racer' added to the sidepanel in what seems to be paint but must have been done using a stencil as in the superdream font. I wondered whether I would get any of the two blue decals now or whether the painter is going to have to work round them ? Also are the 250N decals on the sidepanels still available - if not are the copies any good ? Cheers guys - any and all advice welcome - I don't want to lose originality unless really necessary |

I think with work mine can get close. Need guidance on decals i think.
Front mudguard needs rechroming and maybe rear brake pedal.

Cheers for the above - I'm fairly confident the painter can work around the tank stripes as only small scratches to repair - but one sidepanel is badly marked - I guess I can use pattern sidepanel decals at a push and replace both so they match - but not the sidepanel stripe as this seems to have faded so they all match - hopefully he can workaround the stripe too - he's pretty good. It had some lettering painted on saying "sliver racing machine ? - it was very well done - clearly a machine cut template in the same font as the 'super dream' but fortunately nail polish remover looks to have removed it with very little shadowing and no damage. Thanks again - loving this forum |

Pattern decals are so far away from original fungo is the man to sort some out he is a perfectionist |

Have to agree with Carl that blue is beautiful and best colour they did in my opinion😁👍
I’ve just had some decals made for my CB750,rated as best you can get by members on the SOHC forum,haven’t fitted them yet company is “Redice Decal&Sticker Co.” Can’t get the right colour decals for my American model but he made a set for me.Also have some “Image Works”
tank decals for my SD.
