how on earth do you balance that set up? my old yam ypvs supposedly had issues with the coating (like black teflon type stuff) on the slides wearing off. the slides were good on mine but the sticking throttle was caused by the cable cutting through the guide tube from the twist grip. it was such an odd problem as you would expect the cable to fray and snap, instead it nipped in the slot it had cut for itself

Have been told it's down to my plumbing blanket ports off to get it running. Earlier Honda xl600 had a similar set up as with all good ideas worked great on paper .wanting best of both worlds small carbs for bottom to mid then a big carbs for the top end.been told it works well when it's ok .Yamaha call it there ydls system. Told to bin it and find a inlet manifold of a Yamaha quad 600 grisly is the one to get.downloaded a shop manual today see were that go's buster

that sounds like a good plan, I was going to suggest maybe a couple of aftermarket slide carbs, but the single carb set up would be a lot easier
