Hi I have just joined this forum and would like to introduce myself. I am now the owner of a honda CB250N, this is the second one I have owned. My first was in 1988, for one year.
I have recently taken on a new hobby of fixing small engines, I started on lawn mowers, strimmers and generators then got a CG125W which I have just sold. So when I saw a 1980 CB250N for sale in my village I snapped it up. It is a 1980 that was last taxed in 1985, done 10K. It has probably sat for over 30 years in a garage. This is my new project and why I have joined this forum. I would really appreciate advice on how to proceed from other superdream owner.
Rob

Hello Rob, love to see a photo of the bike. I'm not an expert but Ive just stripped a 450DX engine and rebuilt the top end. I left the bottom end together. My one only has around 8,000 miles on the clock so is similar to yours. The barrels and pistons were in good condition. The head was also great. I have placed some images on my posts so if you want to see what it looked like inside please take a look. I re-honed the barrel as it was very polished, I purchased a tool off ebay to do this which made the job very simple. Again picture on one of the posts. Good luck with the project

Wow some great pictures there, I will read on my pc later, inspiration.
I just spent hours removing spark plugs, they were unbelievably tight and fought me all the way out. Got plus gas in the cylinders now, hopefully doing its magic.
