Does anyone have any ideas why the superdream all of a sudden wont turn off immediatley with the key or the kill switch ?
It has been perfectly ok ,then yesterday when I came to turn it off , it wouldnt turn off even using the kill switch . It will turn off but its taking about 10-20 seconds before it eventually does

Dieseling/pre-ignition/running on often caused by engine kicking back and sucking fuel from carb into cylinder and igniting without a spark.

Could just be duff spark plug, lot of duds around. It used to happen a lot on old cars if the carbs ran weak or if the head needed a decoke,or ignition timing out.Good luck sorting it

I'd suggest that if its running well when it won't switch off it's likely to be a poor earth problem if its running badly - one cylinder etc it's more likely to be running on , pre igniting etc . Check the connection to the CDI , black/white wire , that's the one that earths out the ignition . Good luck .
