Good morning everyone.....Well its been 6 years since i brought my first 1979 250 sd.The first year making it into a cafe racer went very well. All the work was nearly there.Unfortunately family health problems put a spanner in the works. My dad passed away, mom been in hospital, daughter had a health scare, wife been poorly and Ive had two ops in the last year.On top of that my shed roof got took off in the bad weather.I also lost my job and at 57 it wasn't great. So I am now a bus driver,no stress, no management problems to sort i just do my job and go home.Oh and i only work 28 hours a week. The bike was put to bed covered in many layers of water proof sheets.I can now happily report all is well.I took delivery of my new man cave two days ago a custom built 17ftx7ftx 8ft shed.Ive saved up and treated myself it cost me £2000.It is a lot of money but its well worth it.It means I've somewhere to hide away in the cold winter months when the golf course is shut.I'm putting in LED strip lighting (today)and I've got myself a heater, and in the spring I'll get water put in.Something I can do myself. The bike is now safely put away, awaiting the final touch. There's not a lot to do.The tank needs painting, and i need some rear sets,I'm going to buy them.I made a set but not happy with them. The seats been done and looks great.I'm taking my dropped bars off my gt250,they look better than the ones i brought.I'm still undecided what exhausts to use,i have a new pair of silencers, but again after all these years I've gone off them.I'm getting rid of the collector box,so any suggestions would be welcomed.I've been told that the Honda DX 450 exhausts will fit.I have a really good mate who knows Honda's very well,he's going to do the wiring loom.I keep popping in the forum to have a read, and It's nice too see many of you still here.Anyway that's enough from me,I've lights to fit...Merry Christmas everyone.....
