Sadly I let one of my bikes go today, it was a CBX550F2 that I attended the Bristol meet on two years ago. It sold for a good price to a dealer which baffled me at the time as he never viewed the bike in person. when the courier collected it this morning at 6am (silly time but as requested) he tells me this dealer exports bikes back to Japan, were there is a large demand for bikes, so he tells me, that were sold as a 400 version only back in the day. So that made sense why the dealer was only interested in the photos and needed only engine and frame numbers to make sure it was an original bike. Any how a sad day for me as I never like selling bikes but space is needed.

It was a nice example Carl and not a bike often seen.Look on the bright side there’s room for another one in garage

Nice bike but even nicer red bandit parked behind it.
Any idea of the owner? I’d like to compliment them.

nice to know I'm not the only one who turns up for a forum meet on a bike thats not even a honda... isnt there a licence bracket in japan at 400cc? might explain why the 550 wasnt marketed there back in the day

I understand the the licence restriction in Japan only applied to home market bikes,as ridiculous as it sounds the larger capacity bikes could be exported then reimported back into Japan as new bikes and ridden legaly
