The UK may be very dark and dismal at times.....but when the sun shines I truly believe it is the best place to be in the world....so be happy....like anywhere, it is not without its problems. Some serious bush fires here in CA at the minute.......ash is in the air......just checked the contents insurance.....the below is not snow!!!!!   |

Totally agree with that Whether the sun is out or not I think you cant beat the U.K. April to Sept  (The wife still feels it to be too cold in Sept though, in the UK). Oct to March I have a different view  The weather here is pretty consistent at the moment , still the night time temperatures are nearly down to the level where we wont need the Aircon. If only it could be 5 Degrees colder here and 5 Degrees warmer in the UK! No big floods here this year (in this area) Im glad to say....  |

I remeber reading a letter in a bike mag years ago from an ex pat in california, he was being a bit smug about the 300 days of sunshine per year over there, the eds reply was hope the suns out for the next earthquake.
probably best to make the most of wherever you are, I can be a bit smug because I have some of the uk’s best roads and scenery more or less on my doorstep
