I go to collect my first SD tomorrow. Apparently its a Deluxe.
What does that mean? Does it have extra features? Or where they all Deluxe?

The 250N Deluxe was available from the Spring of 1981 and was available in silver, metallic blue, black and metallic red.
First registered on the W suffix and some can be found as late as being registered on the A prefix.
The model had black reverse comstar wheels with tubeless tyres and it stated ‘250N Deluxe’’ on the sidepanels.
It is a popular misconception that these models had the later flip style seat tailpiece and other factory updates.......Why? Because all of the 250/400N from this period had these features, not just the 250N Deluxe.

I’d say so.
What were you expecting?
Picnic tables and cup holders?

Air-con as standard on the Deluxe? Rear mounted Sat-Nav ("left here, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT. Oh! Sorry, I meant the other left.")

Rear mounted Sat-Nav ("left here, LEFT, LEFT, LEFT. Oh! Sorry, I meant the other left.") That sound familiar!

I just thought that the Deluxe bit might meant it had something extra than the ordinary model

Re picnic tables etc I have thought in the past that the name would be more suited to a caravan or houseboat. And new for this year the six berth Superdream Deluxe" If anybody asks me why deluxe I just but them on the backfoot by saying, "well isn't it obvious"... Doesn't matter really, unless you paid extra of course

I imagine Honda couldn’t shift Superdreams then so tarted them up and put deluxe stickers on,don’t know if it worked lol.I wasn’t too interested then They sold more of the 250N Deluxe (250NDB) than they did the standard 250NB in 1981/2. This made the latter quite a bit rarer but not necessary more valuable. It certainly was a 'sexing up' of the final 250 models and a smart move by Honda which no doubt paid off. The deluxe name was only applied in the United Kingdom. Tubeless tyres were a wow factor back then.......hard for most to understand now, 37 years on I guess.
