They look similar to the silencers on my German 400

I've got them on my 400N I went that route 'cos decent collector box heat shields are hard to find. I had one pair I bought new from Silvers on the 250 & a nice used pair I got form Bodie on the 400NA, s o I thought the odds on finding another good pair were long. ClassicBikeShop, who do the Dunstalls & SD silencers, do these exhaust kickups, whick looked like they would replace both collector box & heat shields Trouble is, they are designed for the silencer to clamp over, whereas the collector box clamps over the SD silencer. The Dunstalls overcame this problem. They're very similar in profile to the standard silencer, but the ends are different as you can see in the ebay picture. The Dunstall's come with universal chrome mounting brackets, but the Motad bracket is a perfect fit so I used a complete one on one side, for the centre stand rubber stop, but on the other side I cut it in half. They sit a little bit lower at the back of the bike because the kickup is a shallower angle than the collector box. And they are LOUD! They are packed silencers, but there wasn't much packing in mine, so I bought some more & stuffed as much as I could in. Didn't make much difference, so I bought some mute from the same company & they are ok now; still a bit louder than standard, but I'm happy, although some might prefer them in their LOUD! state
