An extract from the BBC website concerning the petrol and diesel ban:
Will motorcyclists be affected?
Potentially, but only those who drive the very oldest bikes. Essentially, motorcycles built before the year 2000 could face fines if councils decide to impose charges or bans on some roads. The government is currently giving a grant of £1,500 for the purchase of an ultra-low emission motorcycle.
I suppose by 2040 (or even 2032 or whatever date they come up with next) I won't really care but Fungo (and other youngsters) could have a problem if he comes back to the UK! Discuss.

I really don't know , imagine a world with quiet efficient emission free motorcycles, seems somewhat soulless, does,nt work for me at all but i, in my early fifties, just does,nt seem right at all

Will it actually affect me?
All of mine currently have no petrol in them.....they are mere ornaments.
The lack of fun juice may not be a problem for me.
Did I actually just write this?

The government works on potential to pollute & Tax, rather than any link to actual reality, the amount of CO2 pollution etc to build the vehicle does not appear to matter. The low em electric vehicles will have other global effects in due course. (will continue latter food has arrived "On the table")

How are all of these electric cars going get charged overnight etc. streets are littered with cars now, could be a trip hazard with all them cables lol. And what of the emissions created making all the electricity etc. plus point being will stop the “boy racer” wanker brigade making all the silly noises they do showing off

(ok I know battery technology changes, but there havent been any leaps forward for a while) the possible amswer would be hydrogen, the infra structures already there (it cant be impossible to convert a petrol station to hydrogen station, can it?) and the planets covered in the stuff. the only major company that I’m aware of thats doing anything significant with hydrogen? Honda. as for the boy racer brigade they will probably use a speaker system, which will save me some money on exhaust potatoes...

Once someone put a condom on the exhaust.
