I often think the same.....but surely the intake and subsequent risk to health (mentally included in this) is no worse than what one can get from watching current reality TV?

I thought I did a reasonably good job of polishing the side panels but really struggled on the rocker cover. I decided to let a professional do it and I think the result is pretty good for £10!
The only problem is that it really shows up my attempts so I will need to get the 2 covers done so they look consistent.
As I said in my earlier post, I decided to get the side cases polished and this is the end result which I am very pleased about although rather shiny but they now match the rocker cover!
The only problem now is that the dipstick lets it down. any suggestions on how to improve the dark grey appearance? Paint it silver? Paul

I'm amazed that you got that done for a tenner. That has to be an hours labour at least? Maybe £40 or so? I know you said you paid fifteen quid but even so that's a proper bargain. Well done!

Are they just polished up or have they been coated?! If that's a polishing job then its a fair effort getting round the fiddly bits!

They are polished and to be fair they look far better than in these photos, I can’t beleive someone took the time and effort, but I do like them. I’ve put them through the ultrasonic cleaner ready for the rebuild.
