I thought I did a reasonably good job of polishing the side panels but really struggled on the rocker cover. I decided to let a professional do it and I think the result is pretty good for £10!
The only problem is that it really shows up my attempts so I will need to get the 2 covers done so they look consistent.

Looks good and a bargain at £10 I was actually quoted £15 but for some reason (not sure what) they only charged £10 although I still gave them the amount quoted as I was so pleased with the result. However, I think maybe it is a bit too shiny!

Looks great & bargin as it takes ages to get that finish, it will dull down after a bit but easy to keep like that if you keep on top of it

Looks nice but a bit too much bling for me.
But look, it does not matter what I think. Said it before, will say it again, this is all down to one's personal taste and it would be boring if we were all the same.

It is far shinier than I was expecting; I thought it would be more like how I had got the side cases!

You could try dulling it down with wet and dry to get a more oem finish.

It will go dull when it gets hot over time,I wouldn’t use wet and dry on it

It will take a lot of time to get dull, especially if the bike is not a daily.
Wet and dry then re-polish with wire wool, then just metal polish on its own.
You kind of have to scratch alloy to dull off that high sheen. It’s a science.

‘kinell I’ve spent 90 minutes on this bugger, mind you it was covered in GREEN ffs paint lol.£10-£15 a bargin It’s not off my bike but a 400T out of box of bits I have. I will post results if and when I finish it lolif that was mine I’d strip the grotty paint off it before trying to polish, its much easier to work with bare aluminium. a small stainless steel wire brush is a godsend for getting into nooks and crannies without scratching so much that you cant polish it out. rydenor used to sell them
