Are now re-producing fuel tanks for Jap classics. Would you buy one? I have heard mixed reviews with the BSA tanks they already re-manufacture. I wonder if they will ever reproduce the Superdream tank, and if so, what kind of quality we'll be looking at. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332827734271?ViewItem=&item=332827734271

Might be the only way to go though Nick, I bet a lot of us are riding around with a tank on the brink of springing a leak I would use one if it was close enough. I do have a NOS one in the loft so always have that to fall back on. 40 years is more than they were designed to last, not many out there without usual problems.

just a word of caution here about the infamous mickey spares. he listed what he said was an alloy tank and seat unit on ebay (at a price that when I think about it was too good to be true) so I clicked buy it now and paid (not wanting to miss a bargain) I then got an email through ebay saying actually the tank and seat unit were made of steel, so I asked for my money back after much wrangling arguing and a threat to go to india and thump the the git I eventually got my money back, what I never got refunded was the £86 odd postage charge. I reported the seller to ebay, left feedback accordingly, but never heard anything from (taking the) mickey or ebay again. I would honestly consider this git to be a scammer, crook and thief. I will add that I’m sure the majority of indian sellers are decent and reputable and honest, but I wouldnt deal with this scrote
