Those Nissin calipers where used on the CB750F & CB900F (79 & 80?), but with different mounting brackets, to allow for the bigger discs....

Thanks for the input Ian and NA44. I suppose it would have helped if I had put that bl...y stupid bracket retainer thing in the right way round! I can now get them together although they are very fiddly. Whoever designed them must have been a real nutcase but presumably they are like this on other models. I rebuilt one of the calipers on my workbench which was a pain in the arse and very fiddly. However, I rebuilt the other one on the bike which was pretty easy! You certainly learn by experience. |
