Has anyone bought and fitted one of these? they look quite good from the pictures on his website but has anyone got a pic of one fitted? I know there’s a crease and slight lip but I guess in the absence of anything else they’re the best alternative out there. They’re about £140 delivered so not cheap, I just wondered how good they look fitted before diving in..

Hi ,
I have one fitted to my 1979 SD and I think it looks good although not an exact replica of original. Very easy to fit. Will take some close up pics later today and post.

Hi ,

It looks fine from that angle, I’ve had to remove my original for fear of damage ( sad but true) as they are very hard to find now but the Silvers does look a very credible alternative. It’s the crease and lip that interests me as the overall shape looks true to the original. Thanks again. Ian The original Honda :

Mine is the silvers patten type I brought one of the first when they came out & its holding up well considering I do use it in wet sometimes, I under sealed it when I fitted it as I knew it would be used occasionally in wet weather, here is a close up its 4-5 years old now

Thanks to everyone for taking the trouble to post comments and photos. I have enough to go on. It’s worth a go and the only credible alternative to an original. I appreciate your time..

It is a good copy & still polishes up really nice, it looks a bit grubby on my picture as I've been using the bike for work all week & it's very dusty where we park the motocycles in work, it's a pain in the bum now as there is no parking for private cars in our work as we have just lost the car park so more & more staff are getting scooters & motorcycles which is great in a way but we just haven't got the space to park them all, only room for 5 maximum undercover so its first come first serve, I lost out on this day

Thanks for taking the trouble to post the pics, the bike looks ace with the silvers muddy, there’s nothing wrong with that, it looks really nice. I’ll get my order in! Thanks again...
