Even those figures are iffy what's the wind speed,direction size of rider ifs all nonsense anyway if you want to do 100 mph on a track or here on the Isle of Man get a Modern big bike not something that struggled to do it when it was brand new never mind 40 years on thats my opinion anyway

Well I'm getting no where near those figures So do I look at compression, fuelling, aerodynamics, tyre pressure.? Or do I just spray it silver never any harm in checking your tyre pressures and if you read about the people who go out and try to break speed records (I’m thinking NSA) youll probably find that they run some absurdly high pressures in their tyres for top speed runs, I’ll just add I’m not recommending that for the road cos you dont want them going pop. I’d probably echo bodie hear if you want something that fast then check the classifieds theres some mega powerful bikes out there for quite literally peanuts (again beware, you buy something with ferrari performance for less than a grand it needs to be carefully checked). this is exactly why I have the old zx9 in the garage and my superdream ish thing is going to be for riding twisty lanes and generally enjoying the countryside, eventually... just another quick thought, what about a rear sprocket with 1 or 2 extra teeth on, this will actually lower outright top speed but if your a big lad it might make it pull much more nicely at everyday speeds

I only wish someone had warned me how fast the silver ones were before I got mine I am glad I put fast road pads in and I believe Ian has got the same pads now he has gone Silver

have to hope then that the silver rims and hubs on my bike have the same effect on performance
